MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 5 MARCH 2002 AS AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION 5 JUNE 2002.
Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE WITHIN THE AREA OF MERSEYSIDE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THE ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT INCLUDING IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT SO AS TO LIMIT THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING AS FOLLOWS: (1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION ATTAINMENT, CITIZENSHIP ASPIRATIONS AND EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL AND MERSEYSIDE, PARTICULARLY THOSE FROM DISADVANTAGED MINORITY COMMUNITIES. (2) TO PROMOTE GOOD CITIZENSHIP, COMMUNITY SERVICE, CARE AND CONCERN FOR COMMUNITY (INCLUDING BOTH PEOPLE AND PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT) AMONGST YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL AND MERSEYSIDE AND SUBSEQUENTLY (THROUGH GOOD EXAMPLE AND SHARED PRACTICE) OTHER MULTI-CULTURAL CITY COMMUNITIES. (3) ADVANCE EDUCATION IN UNDERSTANDING AND TOLERANCE WITHIN AND BETWEEN THE DIVERSE FAITH, CULTURAL AND RACIAL COMMUNITIES OF THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL. (4) THE CHARITY SHALL BE NON-PARTY IN POLITICS AND SHALL PROMOTE EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY.
