Activities - how the charity spends its money
The Care Leavers' Association is run by and for adults who spent time in care as children. It works to improve provision for adult care leavers and young people currently in care. The CLA provides advice, information and training. The CLA also aims to challenge negative public perceptions and stereotypes of children in care and care leavers and to raise awareness about the needs of this group.

Charitable objects
FOR THE RELIEF OF ADULTS WHO HAVE SPENT SOME OR ALL OF THEIR CHILDHOOD IN PUBLIC CARE BY: (A) PROVIDING ADVICE, GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT AND OTHER SERVICES IN ORDER THAT SUCH ADULTS MAY FULFIL THEIR POTENTIAL AS INDIVIDUALS; (B) ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, SERVICE PROVIDERS AND THE MEDIA BY PROVIDING INFORMATION AND ADVICE ON THE ISSUES AFFECTING THE WELFARE OF CARE LEAVERS WITH THE OBJECT OF REDUCING NEGATIVE STEREOTYPING AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION; (C) ENCOURAGING THE IMPROVEMENT OF SERVICES FOR CARE LEAVERS AND THOSE STILL IN CARE.
