Charitable objects
(1) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS OF RE-USE AND RECYCLING, THE REDUCTION OF POLLUTION, THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE PROMOTION OF RESEARCH INTO THE SAME TOGETHER WITH THE PUBLICATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF THAT RESEARCH. (2) THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE (PHYSICAL AND NATURAL) ENVIRONMENT BY THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE WASTE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BEST PRACTICABLE ENVIRONMENTAL OPTION (BPEO) [IN THIS CLAUSE SUSTAINABLE WASTE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES INCLUDE WASTE MINIMISATION, MINIMISATION OF POLLUTION AND HARM FROM WASTE, REUSE OF WASTE, WASTE RECOVERY ACTIVITIES AND CLEARING OF POLLUTANTS FORM CONTAMINATED LAND AND BEST PRACTICABLE ENVIRONMENTAL OPTION (BPEO) SHALL HAVE THE MEANING GIVEN TO IT IN THE WHITE PAPER "WASTE STRATEGY 2000 FOR ENGLAND AND WALES".]
