Charitable objects

THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ("THE OBJECTS"). THE OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY ("THE OBJECTS") ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF LONDON AND OVERSEAS, PARTICULARLY THOSE INHABITANTS WHO ARE AFRICAN OR OF AFRICAN DESCENT: 1. TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION BY ADVANCING EDUCATION ON HEALTH-RELATED ISSUES THROUGH SEMINARS, LECTURES AND DISCUSSION GROUPS; AND 2. TO RELIEVE POVERTY AND DISTRESS PARTICULARLY BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION BY THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION, ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE; AND 3. TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION, CULTURAL OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID BENEFICIARIES".
