THE OBJECT OF THE TRUST SHALL BE THE ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE HISTORY OF DERBYSHIRE THROUGH SUPPORTING THE WRITING AND PUBLICATION OF VOLUMES OF THE VICTORIA HISTORY OF THE COUNTIES OF ENGLAND RELATING TO DERBYSHIRE AND OF OTHER PUBLICATIONS WHICH DRAW ON MATERIAL COLLECTED THEREFOR.
