TO PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE HOUSE KNOWN AS HINCHINGBROOKE HOUSE BY MAINTAINING, IMPROVING, ADDING AND PRESERVING THE FITTINGS, FURNITURE, ORNAMENTS, MONUMENTS AND FACILITIES OF THE HOUSE, AND OF THE ADJACENT GROUNDS AND GARDENS. 2. TO PROMOTE THE STUDY AND APPRECIATION OF HINCHINGBROOKE HOUSE AS A PLACE OF HISTORIC INTEREST.
