THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS THROUGH THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE FIELDS OF CARDIOVASCULAR AND THORACIC ANAESTHESIA AND IN PARTICULAR TO: 1. PROMOTE THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF MANAGEMENT AND CARE FOR PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM CARDIOVASCULAR AND THORACIC DISORDERS, AND IN PARTICULAR THOSE UNDERGOING CARDIAC, VASCULAR OR THORACIC SURGERY; AND 2. FURTHER ALL ASPECTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CARDIOVASCULAR AND THORACIC ANAESTHESIA.
