Encompass takes diverse groups of young people out of environments familiar to them and puts them in challenging new ones where they work together to achieve shared objectives and explore issues including stereotypes, identity and conflict. This gives young people the skills and self-belief that they can make positive changes to society and the confidence to get involved in local initiatves

THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE TRUST FUND AND ITS INCOME UPON TRUST TO APPLY THEM FOR THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS ("THE OBJECTS"): THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL HARMONY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH SEAMANSHIP AND OUTWARD BOUND ACTIVITIES.
