Charitable objects
(1) THE RESTORATION, PRESERVATION AND UPKEEP OF THE FABRIC OF THE WATER WHEEL, ASSOCIATED ARTEFACTS AND BUILDINGS INCLUDING LISTED BUILDINGS PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS CASTLETON WATERWHEEL MUSEUM FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN SHERBORNE AND THE SURROUNDING DISTRICT AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, SUCH ARTEFACTS AND BUILDINGS BEING OF HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL IMPORTANCE. (2) THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MUSEUM OF INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY SPECIFIC TO WATER SUPPLIES MATTERS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE HISTORY OF SHERBORNE. (3) THE RESTORATION, PRESERVATION, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF HISTORICALLY IMPORTANT STEAM ENGINES, PUMPS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE HISTORY OF ENGINEERING WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO ENGINES MANUFACTURED NEAR OR WITH HISTORIC CONNECTIONS TO SHERBORNE AND THE SURROUNDING DISTRICT.
