TO TRAIN AND EQUIP THEM TO ENABLE THEM TO ASSIST POLICE, ALSAR OR OTHERS IN SEARCH, RESCUE OR OTHER EMERGENCIES. TO MAINTAIN HIGH LEVELS OF SKILLS AND AVAILABILITY. TO PROMOTE PUBLIC ENJOYMENT OF OUTDOOR RECREATION THROUGH EDUCATION IN OUTDOOR SAFETY AND SKILLS. TO PROMOTE SEARCH AND RESCUE AS A SCIENCE.
