Charitable objects
1. TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION ABOUT, AND APPRECIATION OF, THE ARTS, PARTICULARLY LITERATURE (INCLUDING POETRY), ITS GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN AND AFTER THE 20TH CENTURY, WITH SPECIAL BUT NOT EXCLUSIVE REFERENCE TO THE LIFE AND WORKS OF STEPHEN SPENDER AND HIS CONTEMPORARIES; 2. TO PROMOTE AND ASSIST IN PROMOTING RESEARCH INTO THE ARTS, PARTICULARLY LITERATURE AS AFORESAID, AND TO PUBLISH THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC; 3. TO PROMOTE SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSE OR PURPOSES AS THE DIRECTORS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE;
