THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE TO SAVE LIVES, PROMOTE SAFETY AND PROVIDE RELIEF FROM DISASTER AT SEA AND ON INLAND WATERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD BY, IN PARTICULAR, (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): 3.1 PROMOTING TECHNICAL CO-OPERATION, EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION, ADVICE AND CONSULTANCY BETWEEN MARINE SEARCH AND RESCUE SERVICES OF THE WORLD; 3.2 ENCOURAGING AND PROMOTING THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF MARINE SEARCH AND RESCUE SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD; AND 3.3 PROMOTING PUBLIC EDUCATION AND AWARENESS REGARDING SAFETY ON WATER.
