TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THOSE PERSONS RESIDENT IN GRIMETHORPE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC IN ALL ASPECTS AND IN PARTICULAR BY THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC CONCERTS AND TRAINING FOR PERSONS WISHING TO STUDY AND PLAY MUSIC AS PART OF A BAND.
