Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ARE: 3.1 TO ADVANCE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC WITHIN THE COUNTY OF DEVON COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION BY PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR PLAYING CRICKET AND THE ORGANISING OF RELATED SPORTING ACTIVITIES AND THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS AND STUDENTS AT SCHOOLS, UNIVERSITIES AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS (BY ENSURING THAT DUE ATTENTION IS GIVEN TO THE SYSTEMATIC PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF SUCH YOUNG PERSONS AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPING THEIR CHARACTER MINDS MENTAL CO-ORDINATION SELF-DISCIPLINE AND PHYSICAL FITNESS SO THAT THEY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY) THROUGH THE ORGANISATION OR PROVISION (OR ASSISTANCE IN THE ORGANISATION OR PROVISION) OF FACILITIES WHICH WILL ENCOURAGE AND ENABLE SUCH YOUNG PEOPLE TO PLAY CRICKET. 3.2 THE ADVANCE OF THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND OTHERS NOT UNDERTAKING FORMAL EDUCATION AND IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE TO ORGANISE OR PROVIDE (OR ASSIST IN THE ORGANISATION OR PROVISION OF) FACILITIES WITHIN SUCH COUNTY FOR PHYSICAL RECREATION (WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE PERSONS FOR WHOM SUCH FACILITIES ARE PRIMARILY INTENDED) AND EITHER:- A) THOSE PERSONS HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR B) THE FACILITIES ARE TO BE AVAILABLE TO THE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE. 3.3 TO PROVIDE AND SUPPORT THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF CRICKET MATCHES AND TRAINING FACILITIES WITHIN THE VILLAGES OF LYNTON AND LYNMOUTH BEING WITHIN THE SAID COUNTY OF DEVON AND WHICH ARE PROMOTED FOR THE BENEFIT OF THOSE COMMUNITIES. 3.4 SUCH OTHER OBJECTS AND PURPOSES IN SUCH COUNTY BEING OBJECTS AND PURPOSES WHICH ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES.
