Charitable objects
(1) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED SOMALI COMMUNITY OF TOWER HAMLETS IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY (2) TO PROMOTE GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SOMALI COMMUNITY OF TOWER HAMLETS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, AND TO PROVIDE RELIEF FROM FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND SOCIAL AND /OR ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE AND TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF ITS RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES; AND IN PARTICULAR TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE AFOREMENTIONED RESIDENTS TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN THE LIFE OF THEIR COMMUNITY IN WAYS WHICH ADDRESS AND ALLEVIATE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE (3) TO RELIEVE THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS ARISING FROM CIVIL WAR IN PARTICULAR OF THOSE DISABLED AND ELDERLY SOMALI RESIDENTS OF TOWER HAMLETS AND SURROUNDING AREA (4)TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF THOSE SEEKING AND THOSE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS.
