Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ("THE OBJECTS") ARE:- • TO EDUCATE PEOPLE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA IN MATTERS OF SEX AND CONTRACEPTION AND TO DEVELOP AMONGST THEM A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY IN REGARD TO SEXUAL BEHAVIOUR. • THE RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE OF PEOPLE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF WAR OR NATURAL DISASTER, TROUBLE, OR CATASTROPHE IN PARTICULAR BY THE SUPPLY OF MEDICAL AND FOOD AID TO SUCH PERSONS. • TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE, PARTICULARLY THOSE OF AFRO-CARIBBEAN AND AFRICAN ORIGIN, LIVING IN THE LONDON BOROUGHS OF HARINGEY, HACKNEY, CAMDEN AND ISLINGTON AND ANYWHERE IN UK, BY PROVIDING ADVICE, COUNSELLING AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF: (A) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION; (C) RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT. THE ORGANISATION HAS ALSO OTHER HARD TO REACH BENEFICIARIES SUCH AS TEENAGE MOTHERS, LONE-PARENTS, BATTERED-WOMEN AND ELDERLY PEOPLE BY PROVIDING THEM WITH PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DURING THE TIME WHEN NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE. BEFRIENDING THEM, GIVING THEM ADVICE AND GUIDANCE ON SEVERAL ISSUES OF THEIR CONCERN, BE IT FINANCIAL ADVICE OR HELPING WITH PAPER WORK.
