- TO PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF NEW MILLS AND OF THE NATION, THE HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL HERITAGE OF THE CHURCH OF ST JAMES THE LESS ON SPRING BANK (A BUILDING AS DEFINED IN SECTION 336 OF THE TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 AND LISTED AS A GRADE TWO BUILDING IN A DESIGNATED CONSERVATION AREA) - TO SUPPORT AN ALTERNATIVE USE FOR ST JAMES THE LESS FOR ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF THE PEOPLE OF NEW MILLS - TO CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THE RESTORED BUILDING FOR THIS PURPOSE
