TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY MEANS OF PROMOTING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF ENGLISH TEACHING IN SCHOOLS THROUGH THE INVOLVEMENT OF ITS MEMBERS AS ADVISERS, INSPECTORS AND CONSULTANTS IN THE SCHOOLS OF ENGLAND, WALES AND NORTHERN IRELAND.
