(1) SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE GENERAL BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE FORMER BOROUGH OF BACUP IN LANCASHIRE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL THINK FIT;
(2) THE PROMOTION OF THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY THE PROVISION OF OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES FOR THE AGED BLIND OR DISABLED PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE FORMER BOROUGH OF BACKUP;
