TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH ASIAN COMMUNITY IN THE UK, IN PARTICULAR MEMBERS WITH DIABETES, MEMBERS AT RISK AND THEIR RESPECTIVE FAMILIES, IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY BY SEEKING AND INFLUENCING APPROPRIATE DIABETES INFORMATION, PREVENTION, CARE AND TREATMENT.
