TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN WEST YORKSHIRE( FOR MORE DETAIL SEE MAP ANNEXED TO CONSTITUTION) BY DRAWING THE CHURCHES IN THE AREA TOGETHER INTO GREATER UNDERSTANDING AND UNITY, ENABLING PARTICIPATING CHURCHES TO SHARE MORE FULLY IN THE ECUMENICAL MOVEMENT AND ENABLING THEM TO BEAR A MORE UNIFIED WITNESS IN THE COMMUNITY AND SERVE IT MORE EFFECTIVELY; BY MAKING SUCH EXPRESSION OF THEIR COMMON FAITH AND DEVOTION AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE FOUND DESIRABLE.
