(A) TO PREVENT AND RELIEVE THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL SICKNESS AND DISTRESS OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM BEREAVEMENT OR LOSS BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE, ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT FOR SUCH PERSONS; (B) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ISSUES SURROUNDING BEREAVEMENT, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF TRAINING FOR PERSONS WHO WISH TO WORK WITH AND SUPPORT THE BEREAVED.
