DECLARATION OF TRUST DATED 21 MARCH 2004
Charitable objects
1) TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF MUSIC IN KENYA. THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY AND INCLUDE TRAINING SEMINARS, EDUCATION, MUSIC SCHOOLS AND THE PROVISION OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS. 2) TO IMPROVE CONDITIONS AND FACILITIES AT SCHOOLS HOSTELS AND COMMUNITY CENTRES IN KENYA, THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY FUNDING REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE PROJECTS WITH NEW FACILITIES AND THE PROVISION OF CLOTHES, EDUCATION PACKS AND OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS. 3) SUBJECT TO THE IN DEFAULT OF ANY DIRECTION UNDER SUB CLAUSES 1 AND 2 AND IN SO FAR AS ANY SUCH DIRECTION IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE THE TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE INCOME FOR OR TOWARDS SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSE AND SHALL MAKE DONATIONS TO SUCH CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS AT SUCH TIME AND IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR DISCRETION THINK FIT. 4) THE TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR DISCRETION INSTEAD OF APPLYING THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY IN ANY ONE YEAR ACCUMULATE ALL OR ANY PART OF SUCH INCOME BY INVESTING THE SAME AND THE RESULTING INCOME IN ANY OF THE AUTHORISED INVESTMENTS AND SHALL HOLD THE SAME AS AN ACCRETION TO AND AS PART OF SUCH ACCUMULATED INCOME IN ANY SUBSEQUENT YEAR AS IF THE SAME WERE INCOME OF THE CHARITY ARISING IN THE CURRENT YEAR.
