TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF BARNSTAPLE, AND TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF BARNSTAPLE BY:
A. PROVIDING, IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, FACILITIES, GRANTS, OR EQUIPMENT FOR RECREATION OR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION, AND
B. SUPPORTING THEIR ENJOYMENT OF THE ARTS OF MUSIC, DANCE, DRAMA, PAINTING, SCULPTURE AND ARCHITECTURE
WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITION OF LIFE
