Charitable objects
1. TO PROMOTE THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF THE ISLAMIC FAITH; 2. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF ISLAM 3. TO RELIEVE THE POVERTY, SICKNESS OR DISTRESS OF INDIVIDUALS OF THE ISLAMIC FAITH; 4. TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION FOR THE INDIVIDUALS OF THE SAID FAITH; 5. ALL ISLAMIC ACTIVITIES HELD IN THE ALSALAM ISLAMIC CENTRE MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEACHINGS OF THE QUR'AN AND SUNNAH OF THE PROPHET (SAAS). VARIANCES IN THE REMAINING QUESTIONS ARE TRACEABLE BY THE FOUR SUNNI SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT, HANAFI, MALIKI, SHAFI'I AND HANBALI, TO METHODOLOGICAL DIFFERENCES IN UNDERSTANDING OR AUTHENTICATION OF THE PRIMARY TEXTUAL EVIDENCE. DIFFERING VIEWPOINTS SOMETIMES EXIST EVEN WITHIN A SINGLE SCHOOL OF THOUGHT. THUS, THE VARIANT MATTERS MUST BE DERIVED FROM THE COMMON THOUGHT OF THE FOUR SCHOOLS THAT THE ISLAMIC UMMAH RELIES UPON.
