THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ('THE OBJECTS') ARE TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY, PRIMARILY MEMBERS OF THE BANGLADESHI COMMUNITY, OF THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE AND SUCH OTHER PERSONS, IN BANGLADESH, WHO ARE IN NEED (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE AREAS OF BENEFIT) WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID MEMBERS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO: (I) ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE SAID PERSONS; (II) RELIEVE THOSE IN NEED BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE, INFORMATION AND A SUPPORT SERVICE; AND (III) PROMOTE GOOD RACE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE PERSONS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM AND BANGLADESH BY ENDEAVOURING TO ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION ON GROUNDS OF RACE AND ENCOURAGING EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS.
