A) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS AMONGST:- I) PERSONS SUFFERING FROM ALCOHOLISM OR OTHER FORMS OF ADDICTION; AND II) THE FAMILIES AND DEPENDENTS OF SUCH PERSONS. B) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN AND RESEARCH INTO THE PROBLEMS ARISING FROM ADDICTION AND DISSEMINATION OF ALL USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH. C) THE PREVENTION OF SUCH ADDICTION AND THE AFTERCARE OF THOSE RELIEVED FROM IT.
