Charitable objects
(1) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF MELINCRYDDAN / NEATH EAST AND NEIGHBOURING AREAS TOGETHER DEFINED BY THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY BOROUGH OF NEATH PORT TALBOT (HEREINAFTER CALLED "AREA OF BENEFIT") WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF GENDER, RACE, ABILITY SEXUAL ORIENTATION, AGE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE THE AREA OF BENEFIT ECONOMICALLY, SOCIALLY, ENVIRONMENTALLY, CULTURALLY AND THROUGH THE PROVISION OF OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING THOSE IN THE FIELDS OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF THE LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS. (2) TO PROMOTE URBAN REGENERATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SAID INHABITANTS IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT (AN AREA OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION) BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: (A) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP: (B) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT: (C) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, TRAINING OR RETRAINING, PARTICULARLY AMONG UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE, AND PROVIDING UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE WITH WORK EXPERIENCE: (D) THE MAINTENANCE, IMPROVEMENT OR PROVISION OF PUBLIC AMENITIES: (E) THE PROVISION OF OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE OR THOSE WHO BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES, HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES: (F) THE PROTECTION OR CONSERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT: (G) THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND PREVENTION OF CRIME: (3) TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION OF THE SAID INHABITANTS IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT IN THE REGENERATION OF THE COMMUNITY.
