Charitable objects
1. TO RELIEVE EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY PERSONS RESIDENT IN HARROGATE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY THE PROVISION OF FURNITURE AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ACCESSORIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF SUCH PERSONS. 2. TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION), THE RE-USE AND RE-CYCLING OF GOODS AND THEIR COMPONENT PARTS AND MATERIALS AS A MEANS OF WASTE REDUCTION.
