Charitable objects
3.1 THE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY ('THE OBJECTS') ARE TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, INCLUDING BY PROMOTING BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY.
3.2 IN CLAUSE 3.1 OF THIS MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION ('THE MEMORANDUM') 'BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY' BEARS THE SAME MEANING AS THAT ATTRIBUTED TO THIS EXPRESSION IN THE 1992 UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMME CONVENTION ON BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY.
