Charitable objects
(1) TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES BENEFICIAL TO THE COMMUNITY IN SOUTH BEDFORDSHIRE ; INCLUDING THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, THE PROMOTION OF HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, DISTRESS AND SICKNESS; (2) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES OF SOUTH BEDFORDSHIRE IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY; (3) TO CHALLENGE ALL FORMS OF OPPRESSION AND INEQUALITY IN CARRYING OUT THESE CHARITABLE PURPOSES AND TO GIVE PRIORITY TO WORKING WITH PEOPLE WHOSE FULL PARTICIPATION IN SOCIETY IS LIMITED BY ECONOMIC, POLITICAL AND SOCIAL DISADVANTAGE; (4) TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE CO-OPERATION IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE ABOVE PURPOSES AND TO THAT END TO BRING TOGETHER IN COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES OF VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, COMMUNITY GROUPS, STATUTORY AUTHORITIES AND OTHERS INTERESTED IN VOLUNTARY AND COMMUNITY ACTION WITHIN SOUTH BEDFORDSHIRE; AND THE ORGANISATION SHALL FULFIL THESE OBJECTS WITHIN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DISTRICT OF SOUTH BEDFORDSHIRE.
