Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS (THE "OBJECTS") ARE TO PROTECT AND ADVANCE ALL OR ANY ASPECTS OF THE HEALTH OF HUMAN BEINGS IN PARTICULAR BY RESEARCH INTO THE NATURE, CAUSES, DIAGNOSIS, PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND CURE OF ALL FORMS OF CANCER AND IN FURTHERANCE OF THAT PRIMARY OBJECT TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION BY ENGAGING IN, ENCOURAGING AND SUPPORTING: 1. THE ESTABLISHMENT, HOLDING, OPERATION, USE, MANAGEMENT, PROMOTION, SUPPORT, EXPANSION, IMPROVEMENT AND SAFEGUARDING OF A COLLECTION OF BIOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL SAMPLES PERTAINING TO INDIVIDUALS (TO INCLUDE TISSUE AND BLOOD) ("SAMPLES") AND ASSOCIATED BIOMEDICAL, BIOCHEMICAL, GENETIC AND OTHER DATA ("DATA") FOR USE IN A RESEARCH, KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION RESOURCE (INCLUDING KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION OBTAINED OR DEVELOPED THROUGH USE OF THE DATA AND SAMPLES AND PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS DERIVED FROM THE SAMPLES) (COLLECTIVELY "THE RESOURCE"); PROVIDED THAT UNLESS CONSENT IS NOT REQUIRED BY LAW, THERE IS APPROPRIATE CONSENT, AS REQUIRED BY LAW, TO THE USE OF THE DATA AND SAMPLES IN THE RESOURCE; 2. RESEARCH RELEVANT TO ALL FORMS OF CANCER WHICH MAY CONTRIBUTE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF HUMAN HEALTH AND IN PARTICULAR THE APPLICATION OF NOVEL THERAPEUTIC AND DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES AND PROCESSES TO CLINICAL PRACTICE INCLUDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF FINDINGS OF RESEARCH INTO PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND CURE OF CANCER; AND 3. THE DISCOVERY, INVENTION, IMPROVEMENT, DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF TREATMENTS, CURES, DIAGNOSTICS AND OTHER MEDICINAL AGENTS, METHODS AND PROCESSES THAT MAY IN ANY WAY ASSIST HUMAN SUFFERERS OF CANCER.
