Activities - how the charity spends its money
Activity. The Charity completed the building of seven single bedded flats on the 15th March 2007 within budget. Two units were sold to the Reading Single Homeless Project charity number 279859 and the remaining five are let on a twenty one year lease ending in 2026. In September 2017 a joint construction project with Berkshire Womens Aid commenced and is due for completion in December 2018

Charitable objects
TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP BY THE PROVISION OF ACCOMMODATION IN AND AROUND BERKSHIRE. TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY IN BERKSHIRE IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY. TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROMOTE THE MENTAL, SPIRITUAL, MORAL AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF THOSE UNDERTAKING COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR FULL CAPACITIES AND SO THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES BY THE PROVISION OF ACCOMMODATION FOR SHARED FACILITIES AND RESOURCES.
