Following a major fire to the building and attempts to raise funds to cover the additional works needed. The charity had little support and the trustees were forced to abandon the project. The site was handed back to the origonal owner and the building has since been demolished. The trust is now to be wound up.

TO PURCHASE, RESTORE AND PROVIDE SUITABLE ALTERATIONS TO CHANTRY HALL SUCH THAT A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES CAN MAKE USE OF THE VENUE TO THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EXHIBITIONS, PERFORMANCES, DIGITAL MEDIA PRESENTATIONS, COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, YOUTH TRAINING, AND ACTIVITIES, ART EVENTS, OFFICE FACILITIES FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. TO CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN THE BUILDING TO AN ACCEPTABLE STANDARD.
