Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE APPRECIATION OF BAND MUSIC AND IN PARTICULAR TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF PEOPLE IN THE PLAYING OF BAND INSTRUMENTS BY:- 1) PROMOTING AND ENCOURAGING THE PERFORMANCE AND PRESENTATION OF MUSIC, PARTICULARLY ENSEMBLES; 2) RAISING AWARENESS OF STANDARDS IN MUSIC MAKING IN ALL ITS ASPECTS; 3) THE DEVELOPMENT OF MUSICAL REPERTOIRE PARTICULARLY FOR ENSEMBLES; 4) PROVIDING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES IN MUSICIANSHIP, INCLUDING CONDUCTING, COMPOSITION AND ARRANGEMENT; AND 5) ORGANISING AND PROMOTING FESTIVALS AND EVENTS AT WHICH MUSIC ENSEMBLES CAN PERFORM, RECEIVE CRITICAL APPRAISAL, ENCOURAGEMENT AND TRAINING.
