The Village Hall is a facility to be used by the community of Mapplewell and Staincross and surrounding villages. The main activities include health, educational and recreational classes, sport and training events, meetings, conferences and private functions. We also have five offices occupied by local organisations, a library and PLA day nursery. Catering is provided for social & business events.

Charitable objects
(1) THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY SHALL BE THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A VILLAGE HALL FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF MAPPLEWELL AND STAINCROSS AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, INCLUDING USE FOR MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES, AND FOR OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS; AND THE PROVISION OF SERVICES ANCILLARY TO THE PROVISION OF A VILLAGE HALL. (2) THE SAID LAND AND BUILDING SHALL BE HELD UPON TRUST FOR THE PURPOSES OF A VILLAGE HALL AS AFORESAID.
