Charitable objects
(1) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF EARLESTOWN AND NEWTON, ST HELENS, MERSEYSIDE, BY ASSOCIATION TOGETHER LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY BODIES AND SAID INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SAID INHABITANTS; AND (2) THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: (A) THE PROVISION, MAINTENANCE OR IMPROVEMENT OF A PUBLIC PARK, RECREATION GROUND OR OPEN SPACE; OR (B) THE PROVISION OF SOME OTHER PUBLIC AMENITY.
