MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 15 APRIL 2004 AS AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION DATED 30 SEPTEMBER 2006
Charitable objects
FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN AFRICA AND OF AFRICAN DESCENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM: A) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND SICKNESS B) THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY C) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF MEMBERS OF SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED PERSONS AND COMMUNITIES IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY D) TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT URBAN OR RURAL REGENERATION IN AREAS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION BY ALL OR THE FOLLOWING MEANS: I) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY IN SUCH WAYS AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT II) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN SUCH WAYS AS MAY BE THOUGH FIT INCLUDING ASSISTANCE TO FIND EMPLOYMENT III) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, TRAINING OR RETRAINING, PARTICULARLY AMONG UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE AND PROVIDING UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE WITH WORK EXPERIENCE IV) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, OR BUSINESS ADVICE OR CONSTANCY IN ORDER TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE IN CASES OF FINANCIAL OR OTHER CHARITABLE NEED THROUGH HELP: 1) IN SETTING UP THEIR OWN BUSINESS OR 2) TO EXISTING BUSINESSES V) THE CREATION OF TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES BY THE PROVISION OF WORKSPACE, BUILDINGS AND/OR LAND FOR USE ON FAVOURABLE TERMS VI) THE PROVISION OF ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE AND/OR THOSE WHO BY REASONS OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES, HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES VII) THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND PREVENTION OF CRIME E) TO RELIEVE ANY CHARITABLE NEED OF ELDERLY PEOPLE
