Charitable objects
TO FOSTER AND PROMOTE THE MAINTENANCE, IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF ARTISTIC TASTE AND THE KNOWLEDGE UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS AMONG INHABITANTS OF THE FORMER BOROUGH OF LONG EATON AND DISTRICT (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") BY; 3.1 ACTING AS A CO-ORDINATING BODY FOR INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS BOTH AMATEUR AND PROFESSIONAL IN THE FURTHERANCE OF ACTIVITIES WHICH PROMOTE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CHARITY IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND TO PROVIDE THE MEANS OF LIAISON BETWEEN SUCH INDIVIDUALS AND THE APPROPRIATE COMMITTEE OR COMMITTEES OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITY; 3.2 TO PRESENT OR ASSIST IN PRESENTING PUBLIC CONCERTS, DRAMATIC PERFORMANCES, RECITALS, ARTS EXHIBITIONS, LECTURES, ARTS FESTIVALS AND OTHER ARTS EVENTS; 3.3 TO PROVIDE A MEANS FOR BRINGING TO THE ATTENTION OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT THE WORK OF CREATIVE ARTISTS IN ALL FIELDS OF THE ARTS.
