TO CONSTRUCT, PRESERVE, OPERATE AND DISPLAY AND WHERE NECESSARY TO RESTORE, USE AND MAINTAIN THE STANDARD GAUGE RAILWAY KNOWN AS THE COLNE VALLEY AND HALSTEAD RAILWAY AND RUNNING BETWEEN GREAT YELDHAM AND CASTLE HEDINGHAM IN THE COUNTY OF ESSEX OR SIMILAR ROUTES AS FROM TIME TO TIME THE TRUSTEES DEEM TO BE BENEFICIAL TO THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY (HEREINAFTER COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS THE RAILWAY) AND TO USE AND OPERATE THE SAME FOR THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC. TO USE THE RAILWAY TO PROMOTE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE, APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE HISTORIC, EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL ASPECTS OF THE RAILWAY WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO THE AGE OF THE RAILWAY AND ITS HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE AREA OF ITS OPERATION.
