Activities - how the charity spends its money
Building a Community, not just a Community Building. Beregen aims to regenerate the community of Bere Alston and maximise its potential. We manage the Parish Hall and provide an "at cost" space for a village pre-school. We also provide a full time Youth Worker and Support Worker, job club, computer club for over 55s and are looking to expand our community support services.

Charitable objects
1) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, TRAINING OR RETRAINING, PARTICULARLY AMONG UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE, AND PROVIDING UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE WITH WORK EXPERIENCE; 2) THE PROVISION OF ACCESS TO TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OR BUSINESS ADVICE OR CONSULTANCY IN ORDER TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE IN CASES OF FINANCIAL OR OTHER CHARITABLE NEED THROUGH HELP; (A) IN SETTING UP THEIR OWN BUSINESS, OR (B) TO EXISTING BUSINESSES; 3) THE MAINTENANCE, IMPROVEMENT OR PROVISION OF PUBLIC AMENITIES, INCLUDING THE MANAGEMENT OF THE PARISH HALL, BERE ALSTON; 4) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE OR THOSE WHO BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES, HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES; 5) THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH FACILITIES AND CHILDCARE; 6) SUCH OTHER MEANS AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED SUBJECT TO THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS FOR ENGLAND AND WALES.
