WACUP's objectives are to develop the capacity and skills of the residents of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of Wheatley and its environs in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society. More recently the activity has been to seek funding and distribute community first grants.
