(3) THE OBJECTS FOR WHICH THE CHARITY IS ESTABLISHED ARE: TO PROMOTE COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, IN PARTICULAR THE ELECTROTECHNICAL, HEATING, VENTILATION, AIR CONDITIONING, REFRIGERATION, PLUMBING, GAS SERVICES AND OTHER RELATED INDUSTRIES ("THE SECTOR") FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: (A) PROMOTING AND ADVANCING THE TRAINING AND EDUCATION OF PERSONS EMPLOYED OR INTENDING TO BE EMPLOYED IN THE SECTOR, INCLUDING IDENTIFYING TRAINING NEEDS, DEVELOPING APPRENTICESHIPS, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES AND RELATED OCCUPATIONAL STANDARDS AND COMPETENCY FRAMEWORKS; (B) TAKING STEPS TO ALLEVIATE ANY SKILLS GAPS AND ANTICIPATE FUTURE TRAINING NEEDS WITHIN THE SECTOR; (C) TAKING STEPS TO IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY AND THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SECTOR IN PROVIDING SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC; (D) PROMOTING RESEARCH INTO SKILL LEVELS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS WITHIN THE SECTOR AND THE PUBLICATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF THAT RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.
