1 PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF HEARING IMPAIRED CHILDREN THROUGH THE USE OF THEIR RESIDUAL HEARING CAPACITY AND THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NATURALLY SPOKEN LANGUAGE 2 ADVANCE BY RESEARCH AND EDUCATION TEACHERS PARENTS AND OTHERS INVOLVED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF HEARING-IMPAIRED CHILDREN BY TRAINING AND TEACHING THEM THE VARIOUS TECHNIQUES INVOLVED IN THE AUDITORY ACQUISITION OF SPOKEN LANGUAGE BY SUCH HEARING IMPAIRED PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR IN THE FIELD OF FURTHER AND HIGHER EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND TO PROMOTE PUBLIC EDUCATION ABOUT THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE IN THOSE AREAS.
