Charitable objects
(A) FOR THE PROMOTION OF THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF URBAN REGENERATION IN AN AREA OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION AND IN PARTICULAR IN WATERLOO AND ADJOINING AREAS ("THE AREA OF BENEFIT") BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS:- (I) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY (II) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT (III) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND FACILITIES FOR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATIONS FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE OR THOSE WHO BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES (IV) THE PROMOTION OF GOOD HEALTH (V) THE PROTECTION, CONSERVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE PRESERVATION OF BUILDINGS OF HISTORICAL OR ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE (VI) THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND THE PREVENTION OF CRIME. (VII)THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING WITH REFERENCE TO URBAN PLANNING, URBAN TRANSPORT AND THE PROTECTION, CONSERVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT (VIII) THE CREATION OF TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES BY THE PROVISION OF WORKS, SPACE, BUILDINGS, AND/OR LAND FOR USE ON FAVOURABLE TERMS (IX) SUCH OTHER MEANS AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED SUBJECT TO PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE CHARITY COMMISSION. (B) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND HELP MEET THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY.
