Charitable objects
1.1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE GEOLOGICAL AND GEOMORPHICAL SITES IN THE COUNTY OF GLOUCESTERSHIRE AND OF LOCAL EARTH SCIENCE ISSUES IN GENERAL, PARTICULARLY BUT NO EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) THE MAINTENANCE OF A DATABASE WHICH INCLUDED ALL SITES OF EARTH SCIENCE INTEREST B) THE PROVISION OF AN EDUCATION PROGRAMME TO THE PUBLIC INCLUDING ROADSHOWS AND THE PRODUCTION OF A NEWSLETTER 1.2) TO PRESERVE AND CONSERVE REGIONALLY IMPORTANT GEOLOGICAL AND GEOMORPHOLOGICAL SITES (RIGS) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT 1.3 TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT WHERE USE OF LAND HAS BEEN PREVENTED OR RESTRICTED BECAUSE OF A PREVIOUS ACTIVITY ON THE LAND WHICH HAS CEASED (I.E. RAIL, QUARRYING) 3.4 TO EDUCATE IN WASTE PREVENTION (AGGREGATES) AND THE RECYCLING OF QUARRY PRODUCTS AND THEIR ENVIRONMENTS 1.5 TO UNDERTAKE RESEARCH IN SUBJECT MATTER RELATING TO THE ABOVE AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLICC
