Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE (A) THE GOOD HEALTH-CARE OF PEOPLE WITH DIABETES MELLITUS AND; (B) THE EDUCATION BOTH OF PEOPLE WITH DIABETES MELLITUS, AND OF THOSE WHO CARE FOR THEM, WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING SUCH HEALTH-CARE; GIVING TO PREFERENCE THEREIN TO THE BENEFIT OF PEOPLE WITH INSULIN-DEPENDANT DIABETES (BUT NOT SO AS TO LIMIT THE THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING):- (I) BY FUNDING OR OTHERWISE PROMOTING EDUCATIONAL HOLIDAYS AND EDUCATIONAL OR INSTRUCTIONAL LITERATURE FOR CHILDREN WITH DIABETES MELLITUS, WITH THE AIM THAT THEY BECOME BETTER ABLE TO MANAGE THEIR OWN DIABETES CARE EFFECTIVELY AND MAINTAIN THEIR OWN HEALTH-CARE; E.G. BY PROVIDING CHILDREN WITH GRANTS OR SUBSIDIES FOR THOSE PURPOSES; WHICH MAY BE PROVIDED FOR EXAMPLE FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE ALSO IN FINANCIAL OR SOCIAL NEED; (II) BY FUNDING OR OTHERWISE PROMOTING ACTIVITIES INTENDED TO SPREAD BOTH THE KNOWLEDGE AND THE ACTUAL PRACTICE OF GOOD STANDARDS OF CARE OF PEOPLE WITH DIABETES MELLITUS BOTH AT HOME AND IN PROFESSIONAL HEALTHCARE SETTINGS SUCH AS FAMILY MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS' OFFICES AND HOSPITALS; (III) BY CO-OPERATING WITH OTHER CHARITIES IN WORK THAT TENDS TO PROMOTE ANY OF THE FOREGOING PURPOSES, E.G. BY FUNDING SUCH WORK.
