Charitable objects
(3.1) URBAN/RURAL REGENERATION THE PROMOTION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC OF URBAN OR RURAL REGENERATION IN AREAS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION (AND IN PARTICULAR IN RETFORD, BASSETLAW AND ITS SURROUNDING COUNTIES) BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: (A) THE RELIEF OF THE SICK OR POOR LIVING IN RETFORD, BASSETLAW AND THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES, EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS, GOODS OR SERVICES; (B) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT; (C) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, TRAINING OR RETRAINING, PARTICULARLY AMONG UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE AND THOSE EXCLUDED OR AT RISK OF EXCLUSION FROM MAINSTREAM EDUCATION, AND PROVIDING UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE WITH WORK EXPERIENCE; (D) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OR BUSINESS ADVICE OR CONSULTANCY IN ORDER TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE IN CASES OF FINANCIAL OR OTHER CHARITABLE NEED THROUGH HELP: (I) IN SETTING UP THEIR OWN BUSINESS, OR (II) TO EXISTING BUSINESSES: (E) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE OR THOSE WHO BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES, HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES; (F) THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH FACILITIES AND CHILDCARE; (G) THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND PREVENTION OF CRIME; (H) SUCH OTHER MEANS AS MAY FROM TIE TO TIME BE DETERMINED SUBJECT TO THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS FOR ENGLAND AND WALES. (3.2) PROMOTION OF GOOD HEALTH & CARE OF THE ELDERLY (A) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AMONG PEOPLE RESIDING PERMANENTLY OR TEMPORARILY IN RETFORD, BASSETLAW AND THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES; (B) TO ASSIST IN THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL OR PHYSICAL ILLNESS OF ANY DESCRIPTION OR IN NEED OF REHABILITATION AS A RESULT OF SUCH ILLNESS, BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR WORK AND RECREATION; (C) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH (BOTH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL) OF PARENTS, YOUNG PEOPLE, AND CHILDREN AND TO PREVENT THE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP CAUSED BY UNWANTED PREGNANCY; (D) TO EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE IN MATTERS OF SEX AND CONTRACEPTION AND TO DEVELOP AMONGST THEM A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY IN REGARD TO SEXUAL BEHAVIOUR WITH THE AIM OF PREVENTING OR MITIGATING THE SUFFERING CAUSED BY UNWANTED PREGNANCY; (E) TO RELIEVE ELDERLY PEOPLE RESIDENT IN RETFORD, BASSETLAW AND THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES WHO ARE IN NEED, BY PROVIDING SPECIALLY DESIGNED OR ADAPTED HOUSING, AND ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES CALCULATED TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PERSONS; (3.3) GENERAL SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY (A) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY OF RETFORD, BASSETLAW AND THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND HELP MEET THEIR NEEDS, AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY; (B) TO PROVIDE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, ASSISTANCE THROUGH TRAINING AND CONCILIATION FOR COUPLES TO HELP STRENGTHEN THEIR RELATIONSHIP, AND WHERE THESE RELATIONSHIPS APPEAR TO BE OR HAVE BROKEN DOWN, TO ADVISE AND HELP IN THE SETTLEMENT OF DIFFERENCES OR POTENTIAL DIFFERENCES OVER ASSOCIATED MATTERS SUCH AS CUSTODY, ACCESS TO CHILDREN, AND FINANCIAL MATTERS.
