IN ADDITION IT WORKS CLOSEKY WITH LOCAL MINISTRIES ON MATTERS RELATING TO CHILD PROTECTION. STEP(UK) HELPS PROVIDE CONSULTANTS FROM THE UK WHO PROVIDE TRAINING AND ADVICE PARTICULARLY IN EDUCATION AND SOCAL WORK.

Charitable objects
THE TRUSTEES SHALL STAND POSSESSED OF THE TRUST FUND AND OF ALL THE PROPERTY AND ASSETS FOR THE TIME BEING SUBJECT TO THE TRUST FUND UPON SUCH CHARITABLE TRUSTS AND FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES DESIGNED FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS AND IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE AND UNCONTROLLED DISCRETION FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE:- A) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN NORTHERN IRAQ AND ELSEWHERE OVERSEAS AS THE TRUSTEES DETERMINE B) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND ADULTS C) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH A VIEW TO ENABLING THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR NEW COMMUNITY AND DEVELOP AND REALISE THEIR POTENTIAL D) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND ADULTS E) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THOSE PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES F) TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO "CARERS" WITHIN PROFESSIONAL BODIES, LAY PEOPLE AND THOSE WORKING WITHIN GOVERNMENT STRUCTURES IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES AND TO RAISE AWARENESS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OF THE ISSUES FACING SUCH DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN ORDER TO FURTHER THE AFOREMENTIONED OBJECTS. THESE OBJECTS WILL BE UNDERTAKEN IN THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTIAN COMPASSION.
