Charitable objects
FOR THE BENEFIT OF PEOPLE ORIGINATING FROM SOMALIA NOW LIVING IN BARKING AND DAGENHAM AND SECONDLY ALSO FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE WIDER COMMUNITY IN BARKING AND DAGENHAM AS THE TRUSTEES DECIDE ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES; 1. TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES FOR REASONS OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; 2. TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT; 3. TO RELIEVE UNEMPLOYMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN SUCH WAYS AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE TO FIND EMPLOYMENT; 4. TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE GOOD HEALTH OF THE PUBLIC BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE, ADVOCACY AND COUNSELLING SERVICES; AND 5. TO PROMOTE RACIAL HARMONY IN BARKING, DAGENHAM AND THE WIDER COMMUNITY.
